Please note that the various independent speedboats that used to ply the waters between Mersing and Tioman are no longer is service.
This also applies to the direct Penguin ferry from Tanah Merah, Singapore to Tioman, as well as the Tioman XL ferry. Neither of these ferries are currently still in service.
That said, you will still, however, come across countless references, on various out-dated websites, to the direct Singapore - Tioman Penguin ferry, the Tioman XL ferry and the smaller speedboats operating out of Mersing.
But as of this moment in time, the year 2026, only two Tioman ferry services remains in operation between the Malaysia mainland and Tioman Island, Bluewater and Cataferry.
