Who wouldn't want to ride a motorbike or moped along stunning white sandy beaches, through unspoilt jungle and around a picturesque Malay fishing village? Riding your motorbike by Tioman's numerous attractions and gorgeous settings is pure joy, a simple pleasure maybe, but one that will make your day, as well as your Facebook wall.

You can stop your bike, park it for a while, whilst you go and take a closer look at anything that draws your attention. Best of all, you can go off-road, ride your motorbike to places that are too far to reach on foot, and you can follow tracks that are too narrow to go by car. In essence, Tioman is your oyster. Tip: bring a hamper with some fresh fruit and a few cold ones for an unforgettable picnic at one of Tioman's romantic locations, just the two of you. How awesome would that be?

A road well traveled...

You can rent motorbikes or mopeds in Tekek, which is Tioman's main village. The village and its surroundings offer more than enough paved roads, sandy roads and simple tracks that you can ride on. You can even cross from Tioman's west coast all the way to the east of Tioman, right through dense tropical rain forest to Juara Village, because there is now a well-constructed road connecting the two villages. An amazing experience - one for your bucket list.

Tekek's rent-a-bikes come in various types and sizes, so just pick one that you can handle with ease.

The cost of renting a bicycle is about RM 18 per hour - a steal.
